For all Maha Festival attendees

Maha Festival is a rain or shine event. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Our lineup and festival schedule are subject to change. 

Code of Conduct & Harassment Policy

All attendees, volunteers, performers, vendors, and staff contribute to the inclusive, safe, and comfortable environment at Maha Festival.

Offensive, disruptive, and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated, including but not limited to:

  • Language that is verbally abusive, intimidating, or threatening, including unwanted sexual remarks or jokes, racial or ethnic slurs, and demeaning comments on gender or sexual orientation
  • Physical acts of intimidation, stalking behavior, assault, battery, or non-consensual touching 
  • Taking and/or distributing harassing or non-consensual video or photo of someone
  • Unwanted encroachment on someone else’s physical space or any other conduct which intentionally impedes their ability to participate in or enjoy the festival

All of the above acts are considered harassment, and Maha has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any kind. Any individual or groups found in violation of this policy may be removed from the festival and banned from reentering. 

If at the event you feel unsafe or that you’ve been harassed, please seek assistance from event security. 

photo policy

Photographers and news media are present at Maha Festival. By attending, you consent to being filmed and/or photographed, where your image, voice, and likeness may be used by the Festival producers and its partners for promotional purposes. Any photography taken at the Festival, whether in digital or analog format, is subject to you granting a mandatory, perpetual, non-exclusive license to the Festival producers and its partners for use in Festival promotional purposes. Any artwork or performances sponsored by the Festival or taking place on Festival grounds are also subject to a grant of a mandatory, perpetual, non-exclusive license to Festival producers and its partners for use in Festival promotional purposes.

Risk statement

There are risks involved in any event. By going to the Festival, you assume all risks incidental to the Festival and release YFC, Inc. d/b/a Maha Festival and their respective affiliates from all claims related to or arising out of the Festival or your presence at the Festival. The ticket you hold is subject to all applicable policies of the Management of the Festival. This ticket is a revocable license to enter the Festival at the date and time listed. What that means is that Management reserves the right, without paying a refund, to refuse entry or eject you if you are not complying with all Management policies applicable to the Festival. The Festival date and time is subject to change. Performing acts and times are subject to change. Resale and/or transfer of the ticket may be prohibited by Management’s policies, and if so, any such resale and/or transfer is void to the maximum extent allowed by applicable laws. Any such unauthorized resale and/or transfer may result in refusal of entry without refund. Tickets not obtained directly from Management may be lost, stolen, counterfeit or invalid, in which case they will not be honored.

Waiver & release

For and in consideration of my purchase, possession of tickets to, or involvement in the 2023 Maha Festival (“Festival”), I (“Attendee”), for myself, my spouse, children, parents, siblings, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby completely release and forever discharge YFC, Inc. d/b/a Maha Festival, as well as its officers, directors, agents, representatives and volunteers (collectively, the “Released Entities”), and shall refrain from instituting, pressing, collecting or in any way aiding or proceeding upon any and all claims, judgments, debts, causes of action, suits and proceedings of any kind, at law or in equity, which I ever had, now have, or may hereafter accrue or otherwise acquire against the Released Entities, including, but not limited to, negligence, for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death, arising out of or related to my attendance at the Festival. If the Attendee is less than 19 years of age, the Attendee and the parents having legal custody and/or the legal guardians of the Attendee also hereby release and forever discharge the Released Entities from any claim whatsoever which arises.

I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Entities, or any of them, from any and all present or future claims, judgments, debts, causes of action, suits and proceedings of any kind, at law or in equity, that may hereafter be made or brought on my behalf on account of any injury, illness, physical condition, inconvenience, accident or loss sustained by me during my attendance thereat.

I hereby acknowledge and understand the risk of serious illness and death does exist by participating in the event; and knowingly assume the risk of injury, harm, or loss, including any injury or loss caused by the negligence or conduct on the part of the Festival. This also includes all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. 

YFC, Inc. shall not be financially responsible for cancellation or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to: acts of God, strikes or other labor disturbances, equipment failures, epidemics, pandemics, quarantines, government restrictions on gatherings, war, acts of terrorism, riot, floods, fires, tornadoes, earthquakes or other contingencies the non-occurrence of which was a basic assumption underlying the obligations under this agreement.
