Las Cruxes was formed in 2017 by Yayo who had recently left legendary spanish indie band Pastilla.The band quickly released an EP and an LP: 2017’s kasa EP and 2018’s illusiones, depresiones LP. 2019 saw Ha-Ha-Ha (the 3rd EP) — all released through Sony U.S. Latin. The band quickly started gaining recognition in the Latin indie rock scene in the U.S. and Latin America. Playing festivals in Mexico City, such as Festival Marvin, with such acts as The Buzzcocks and The Editors etc., Monterreys D.I.Y. fest and in the U.S. Latin rock festival Ruido Fest (Chicago, IL). In 2019, the band released a single titled Mente Enferma(1403) earning them number 23 on NPR’s top 50 songs of the year (World Cafe). December 2021 saw the release of the band’s 2nd LP, Malditos Duendes, released via Mexican label CINTAS on a limited edition cassette and digitally through Lennonmx Records. Las Cruxes is set on being more of a collective rather than a set lineup; the band consists of members from different states in the U.S. and Mexico. Making every show a sonic experience that will blow your ears away.
