Kaitlyn and Matt Hova

When:Thursday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m.

Where:Metropolitan Community College's Center for Advanced and Emerging Technology, Fort Omaha Campus

At Hova Labs Kaitlyn and Matt Hova created the Hovalin, an open source, 3D printable, acoustic violin. Beyond just being a fun 3d printing project, the Hovalin also has a goal of assisting underfunded school music programs by using STEM grants to enable schools to 3D print instruments for their orchestras. Kaitlyn performs on a Hovalin with custom electronics that uses LED lights to translate her performance into a projection of her musical note –> color synesthesia in real time. This talk is EPIC!
