Since the Maha Festival Saturday headliner released her newest album, Cuz I Love You, it’s been blowing up — even topping Beyoncé on the Billboard charts. She’s recently made some very memorable performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the MTV Movie & TV Awards, and more. She also slayed at South By Southwest, and commanded the crowd at Coachella. Her message? Body positivity, self-love, and confidence.

JENNY LEWIS
The Maha Festival Friday headliner’s new album, On the Line, is a real gem. She worked with stars like Beck, Ringo Starr, Don Was, Benmont Tench, and Jim Keltner on the record, and it’s been met with major critical acclaim. We can’t stop humming the latest single, “Wasted Youth.”

COURTNEY BARNETT
An indie rock favorite hailing from Australia, this 2016 Best New Artist Grammy nominee will play Omaha for the very first time at Maha, and we can’t wait.

MATT AND KIM
With a brand new album out, a reputation for some of the most energetic concerts you’ll ever witness, and a message of positivity, Matt and Kim are the official power couple of Maha 11. They positively slayed at Maha in 2013, so it was the obvious choice to have them back on the main stage to slay once more.

DOUGLAS RUSHKOFF
Named one of the “world’s ten most influential intellectuals” by MIT, Douglas is an author and documentarian who studies human autonomy in a digital age, and has been a leading voice for applying digital media toward social and economic justice. His latest book, Team Human, and podcast of the same name dive into the concept of “reprogramming society to better serve humans.”

JEWEL BURKS SOLOMON
Co-founder of Partpic — a startup designed to streamline the purchase of maintenance and repair parts using computer vision, which was acquired by Amazon in 2016 — Jewel is an advocate for representation and access in the technology industry, especially in and around the Atlanta area. She was named one of “21 influential black professionals in tech” by USA Today.

OH SEES
With a stage show that’s best described as sweat-drenched and a long list of albums sporting their trademark unhinged approached, Oh Sees are one of the most invigorating garage punk bands of their era. The band will play Maha in between two extensive stints in Europe, and their new double album, Face Stabber, will drop the day before they play Maha.

DUCKWRTH
Jared Lee, known by his stage name Duckwrth, is an American rapper and songwriter from South Los Angeles, California. Duckwrth will bring his unique style and free-spirited creativity to Maha right after a sucessful stint on the European summer festival circuit. Check out “Love is Like a Mosh Pit” from his latest record, The Falling Man.

MATT MAESON
Known for his sound that melds bluesy indie folk with modern production, Matt Maeson has been steadily rising over the last several years, even recently making his TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers. His single, “Cringe,” is turning into the anthem of the summer.

PINBACK
Over the course of four albums in a dozen years, Pinback has developed a sound resembling a hybrid of pop, folk, rock, reggae and subdued funk that is genuinely like nothing else out there. Their highly anticipated return to Omaha will be headlining the first-ever Maha Middle Show, playing with indie rock artist Nick Reinhart and local Omaha band Bach Mai.

CAREY ANNE NADEAU
Carey Anne is CEO and Founder of Open Data Nation, self-proclaimed city nerd and human open data dictionary. Her work focuses on improving the health and well-being of people in cities by using advanced statistical techniques, such as machine learning, to benefit underserved and marginalized voices, where she believes data can have the greatest impact.

MARTHA LEGG MILLER
Martha comes all the way from Washington, DC, where she is pioneering a start-up within the government. Um, what? You can do that? Turns out you can, and it won’t happen without a lot of hard work and data to back it all up. She is currently the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s first director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation — dedicated to advancing the interests of small businesses and their investors.

MEGON DEE-CAVE
Megon is a professional Cannabis Chef & Founder/CEO of Oracle Infused Wellness Co., a hemp-derived CBD company that produces cannabinoid and terpene infused wellness, health and personal care products. Her focus is to continue gaining knowledge of the effects of cannabinoids, terpenes and plant medicine for medicinal practices and wellness routine integration. She will share what it has been like to start a “cannabusiness” as a minority in Portland, Oregon.

SNAIL MAIL
Lindsey Jordan is on the brink of something huge, and she’s only just graduated high school. Her voice rises and falls with electricity throughout Lush, her debut album as Snail Mail, spinning with bold excitement and new beginnings at every turn.

BEACH BUNNY
The singer-songwriter project and stage name of Lili Trifilio, Beach Bunny has tunes reminiscent of alt-pop and “sadgirl” music. Described as “Zooey-Deschanel-meets-the-Beach-Boys-type vibe,” they’re going to keep things properly grooving under the sunshine on Saturday.
