Sudan Archives announced her highly-anticipated sophomore album, Natural Brown Prom Queen. Her most recent single, NBPQ (Topless), is a Song You Need from The Fader, and topping ‘best of the week’ lists from Stereogum and Brooklyn Vegan. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 5:45 p.m.

June 30 UPDATE: Rolling blackouts coastal fever

Just added to Maha Festival, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (Sub Pop) are live show legends touring behind their latest, Endless Rooms. The album is earning rave reviews for expanding on the band’s college rock sound that “has only continued to grow richer, the details around its edges more articulated.Endless Rooms is featured on best albums of 2022 (so far) lists from SPIN Magazine and StereogumPlaying Saturday, July 30 at 6:45 p.m.

June 17 UPDATE: Sudan Archives

Sudan Archives is putting her own stamp on Sled Island as this year’s guest curator. Sudan Archives picked an a group of performers that had a direct impact on her career, including several artist from the experimental scene. “The experimental scene was the reason I’m doing music today,” says Sudan. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 5:45 p.m.

June 13 UPDATE: GEESE

Geese released a cover of Nick Drake’s “Place to Be.” The cover is the latest installment in Sound of Saving’s “Song that Found Me at the Right Time” series. True to their NYC roots, Geese recorded their performance in a bodega. Watch their performance here. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 4:45 p.m.

June 9 UPDATE: Princess Nokia

Princess Nokia’s latest releases aren’t just certified bops, they’re also celebrations of her heritage. “No Effort” shows her love for Harlem, and “Diva” is a love letter to Puerto Rico. Watch the music video for “Diva” here. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 9:00 p.m.

Sudan Archives‘ latest singles, “Selfish Soul” and “Homemaker” are hitting charts and getting praise for their powerful themes, like celebrating the beauty of Black hair. Her North American tour announcement (including our favorite date: July 30) has got everybody talking. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 5:45 p.m.

Beach House captivated audiences in a dreamy performance of ‘Superstar’ on Late Night with Stephen Colbert to high praise of their mesmerizing vocals and visuals. Watch their spectacular performance here. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 10:30 p.m.

Watch out, NYC! Dominique Morgan was announced as a grand marshal for 2022 NYC Pride parade. It’s a busy summer for Dominique; she’ll be appearing pride events across the country, including Baltimore Trans Pride and Kentuckiana Pride. Playing Saturday, July 30 at 2:15 p.m.

May 16 UPDATE: geese

Geese, the NYC-native band of recent high school grads, is impressing audiences and radio stations alike. Their high-energy performance made them a breakout at SXSW, and their single “Low Era” was named a daily top tune from KCRW.  Playing Saturday, July 30 at 4:45 p.m.

May 14 UPDATE: Indigo de souza

Indigo De Souza is wooing festival crowds everywhere. Her “stage-rattling, crowd-igniting set” made her a standout at Treefort Festival, and her performance at The Great Escape 2022 was “making a bid for the best set of the weekend.” Playing Friday, July 29 at 8:15 p.m.

May 14 UPDATE: PUP

Last month, PUP collected all kinds of rave reviews for their latest record. Now they’re on the road selling out venues and hosting happy mosh pits across North America.
